What is forum topic

i think its a topic for a discussion, e.g "whats ur fav ____" and then ppl comment.
could also be used for like announcements i think

ok i searched it up and:

bulletin = key pts [disappears, lesser importance vs a blog], blog = conversational [stays around], forum = usually abt a specific topic [kinda like a channel in disc?? or like a server idfk]
