do any other lesbians just feel really lonely? like there is no gay people near me and i feel so isolated. not to mention I've been struggling with some internalised homophobia even though i used to be proud of my identity now i just feel ashamed and i just have no one to relate to, sorry for the rant ;-;

Yes! I live out in nowhere so it's not like i can pop into a local queer cafe or something. There's limited amounts of WLW couples in media, and if they are they are either
1. behind another paywall (streaming service i don't have)
2. one or both characters die
3. the show gets discontinued
And trying to find lesbian friends on dating apps is... hard. Most wants to hook up or they are only interested in marriage at first sight. It's really hard just to find a space of community tbh.
With the current political landscape it feels less safe to be out, so it's even more lonely. And it makes perfect sense that your internalised homophobia kicks in, because the outside homophobia is growing more prevalent around us.
