Tutorial and instructions [pinned]

In this section, as its name indicates, you'll find a written tutorial on how to use Spacehey Music. In the future, I also plan to create a video tutorial that will show in a more visual way how to set it up. The video will have simple edits and will be created using Windows Movie Maker 2.6.

SpaceHey Music Profile Setup and Customization Guide

This document details the essential steps to activate and personalize your artist profile on the SpaceHey Music platform. Carefully follow the instructions to integrate the codes and add your content.

FIRST STEP: BASE CODE INSERTION

You must copy and paste the provided base codes into the designated sections of your profile to establish the design structure:

  • Part 1: Paste it into the "About Me" section or, alternatively, into "Who I'd Like to Meet".

  • Part 2: Insert it into the "General" section.

  • Part 3: Place it again in the "About Me" section, complementing the first fragment.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON CONTENT PLACEMENT:

The FEATURED MUSIC PLAYER and the UPCOMING SHOWS TABLE should be placed ABOVE any custom text or written content you wish to add to your profile.

SECOND STEP: VISUAL AND LINK CUSTOMIZATION

Once the codes are active, you can start customizing the visual elements and main links, starting with the musical genre and the banners:

MUSICAL GENRE CONFIGURATION

Before the banners, you must go to the section of your CSS code that reads /Genre List/ and modify the entries with a maximum of three musical genres you produce. The fields to be filled are:

  • Genre 1: Enter your first musical genre (e.g., Indie Rock).

  • Genre 2: Enter your second musical genre (e.g., Dream Pop).

  • Genre 3: Enter your third musical genre (e.g., Electronic).

FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE BANNERS:

You have three banner spaces available. They are completely customizable in terms of images, colors, and borders, allowing you to reflect your brand's visual identity:

1. Top Banner: The most prominent visual element at the top of the profile.

2. Bottom Banner: Located toward the end of the profile's main content.

3. Mini Banner: Strategically placed above the blogs/entries selection.

SPACEHEY MUSIC NAVIGATOR: ESSENTIAL LINKS

Next, you must modify the musical navigator links to direct to your correct platforms:

  • My Music: Here you must enter the direct link to your Spotify or SoundCloud profile.

  • Music Videos: In this section, you must add the link to your YouTube channel or to your profile on the website where you upload your music videos.

  • Shows: You must place a general link to all your concerts. This is optional and only necessary if the "Upcoming Shows" table does not have enough slots. If the table is sufficient, simply put the character "#" in this field.

The other links (Featured Playlists, More Artists, Group, Forums) are usually already set up with a link so just modify the ones I mentioned.

FEATURED MUSIC PLAYER

The featured music product is easily activated. You simply have to:

  1. Add the YouTube embed code.

  2. Enter the song name.

  3. Indicate the artist name.

  4. Specify the song duration.

THIRD STEP: GENERAL INFORMATION AND INTERESTS TABLE

This is the Interests table modified specifically for SpaceHey Music. It is crucial to fill in all the fields to provide complete information to your followers:

  • Sounds Like: Describe your musical genre or sound.

  • Influences: Name the artists, genres, or sources of inspiration.

  • Record Label: Name of your record label or indicate if you are Independent.

  • Type of Label: Classify the type of label (e.g., "Independent", "DIY", "Major").

  • Active Since: Enter the year you started your musical project.

  • Members: Names of the band or project members.

FOURTH STEP: UPCOMING SHOWS TABLE

Finally, you have an "Upcoming Shows" table with capacity for 8 entries. Please complete the information for each event as indicated below:

  • MM/DD/20XX: Enter the exact date of the show (Month/Day/Year).

  • 00:00: Enter the start time of the show.

  • Generic Concert: Enter the name of the event/show along with the web address where tickets can be purchased (e.g., "Launch Show - Tickets at [Link]").

  • City, State: Enter the city and state or province where the event will take place.

Once all these steps are completed, your SpaceHey Music profile will be fully configured, linked, and visually optimized.

If you want a more "retro" touch, you can add the MySpace Music logo.
Here is the link for the logo (to use in your code):
