Lets discuss particles!は の に で を か

Lets practice our grammar! So in English we assume subjects of the sentence but in Japanese we have 'particles' that help us indicate what the subject of the sentence is!

That particle is は Ha pronouced (Wa) so when we say
kanji - 私は
hiragana - わたしは
pronunciation - watashi wa
translation - I

then we know that I am the subject of that sentence.

That was an easy one so Ill give you one more example.
The particle の is used when something belongs to someone/thing else
so when i say 'my name is emi' we say 私のなまえはエミです。(watashi no namae wa emi desu)

Notice how I used の after 私 instead of は?thats because my name belongs to me so its MY name. How about is something is yours? we say ’Anata’ to say 'you' あなた’ so.

あなたのなまえはですか?

You can practice by answering the question above or you can take a try at explaining another particle such as か、に、で、or を try to use it in a sentence and explain what its doing in that sentence! :D

Ill try to help in the comments section where I can

I've tried to practice those particles like months ago ..... ^^;;;;; i need to try it again i am groggy

there are the particles "へ" and "に" being so similar yet so different. a difference in how to use it in speech rather than in writing. Also something something one being more important than the other.

Maybe you can make a reply about this ?

hey! @russet that is a great point!

So に(ni) ['nee'] is typically used as verb when you are describing the movement from one location to a destination.

This is different from へ(he) ['hey'] because this is a particle used along side verbs to describe a motion such as moving forward, left, or right.

They are similar because they both describe movement but に has more emphasis on the destination for example 私はパーrusset that is a great point!
