Need some baking/cooking advice and pointers

So my partner needs to go gluten-free for some health reasons and since then I've noticed just how expensive gluten-free products can be so I'm looking to start making a lot of things by scratch not only because it's expensive to buy gluten-free food and because a lot of the time it's just not the best.

My partner isn't celiac so while it's technically not required for them to go gluten free but it would help them out in the long run if they did and I want to be able to help them out in the long run as long as save as much money as humanly possible. I have background in making bread from scratch but I've never made gluten-free bread and would love to be able to learn how to make that and so many other things.

I'm mostly just looking for tips, tricks, and possibly even recipes if anyone has any. I'm not even just looking for bread; things like pasta, muffins, desserts, etc. (along with many different kinds of breads like rolls, buns, croissants, etc). I'm wanting to make this an easy transition so we don't have to go through spending a bunch of money on food that my partner isn't going to like for the taste or texture of it.

Anything would be great and appreciate

Hi! My dad had celiacs, so I learned a lot about gluten free food from that. Focus on foods that don't have any flour on them before you focus on making anything gluten free. Really popular desserts like tortes and macaroons don't rely on wheat flour! Though it might be painful, working to remove bread from your daily rotation is also important. Depending on your partner, you can look into rice and corn flour tortillas for carbs! Both are super cheap. Looking up keto and paleo dinner ideas and recipes is also a good jumping point since they both tend to avoid bread.

Thank you so much!! I'll keep this in mind! We found out recently that my partner may have celiac and we just need to get the testing done. We're already working on cutting gluten out of our diets so that's already being worked on thankfully, we eat a lot of rice and corn tortillas as is so I dont think we eat a lot of gluten anyway which is probably a good thing to begin with.

I'll definitely will look into meals that fall under that diet but it can be difficult because both of us have health problems where we have to eat a certain way in order to help manage the symptoms, but I doubt itd be anything that would be too difficult to substitute! Thank you so much, if there's anything else please feel free and let me know!
