Spooky book recs for October pleaseee <33

Hello all! This is my first forum post on SpaceHey! ^^

Lately I've been wanting to explore more book genres so get a better understanding of what kind of stuff I like,, and I thought that October would be the perfect time to explore some spooky/horror books :D

So if anyone has any recommendations for someone completely new to the genre, I'm all ears!

Thank youu :>

If you like murder mystery, I'd recommend Death on Gokumon Island by Seishi Yokomizo! It's a part of a very long series, but the individual books can be read as a stand alone! If you like this one, then I'd def recommend the whole series, but Death on Gokumon Island is my favorite.

For psychological horror, I like Bunny by Mona Awad or Boy Parts by Eliza Clark. If you like something that's not strictly horror but has a spooky atmosphere, maybe try Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo!

It's November but Clown in a Cornfield by Adam Cesare. It's young adult slasher horror with political commentary. There's three of them and lots of people get killed in brutal ways, but it's all PG-13 for the most part.

Also I Feed Her to The Beast and the Beast is Me. Body horror, demons, gore. POC main character who is morally grey and not always right. Also YA. Sequel is I Am the Dark that Answers When You Call.
