Forum: Cloud Contingent Group

Figured I would leave a little "table of contents" so the forum is easier to explore. I don't want it to be confusing as it expands!

Stultum Sanctus Serpens Serpentum: Futura Providebis by our prophet of old, Saint Ophis of Peonya (who may not exist, like where in hell is Peonya?) This is St. Ophis' key -- perhaps only -- text. It is a collection of brutal dark poetry that string together to form a mad rite for a mad god.

Seven Codes (annotated.) The Seven Codes are a set of ethical tenets that align with humanist ideals, as penned by our mysterious leader Pope WormFood. I have done my best to interpret them in the annotations.

The Primordial Ooze is a treatise on theology and teleology written by the Pope. It asked me to create the illustration as part of my ritual, and of course I obliged!

Confusion Cosmology is a companion piece in which the Pope expands its theology from The Primordial Ooze. This is perhaps its most important work, which builds a holistic and psychological approach to metaphysics and magick. This framework is a simplified skeleton of a cosmology, which can remain entirely secular or work in conjunction to a variety of occult philosophies. Graphics by yours truly.

Chaos Numerology uses numerical symbolism to demonstrate the function of the mind in creating meaning as described in the Cosmology. It functions in much the same way that Discordians use the Laws of 3 and 5.

Gnosis Psychosis, in which the Pope waxes poetic about its cosmology, and relates it back to Jungian psycho-analysis.

The Most High - A Testimony is an autobiographical narrative in which I relate a spiritual experience I had shortly after Joining the Cult. I did my best to display all the things I don't know while remaining true to the experience as it happened.

The Libraries are getting posted each in their own topic so that I can keep them organized by historical context and tradition. While the Cult does not agree perfectly nor endorse fully any tradition, author, or text contained within, we are dedicated to the freedom of information and want to make as much esoteric history accessible as possible. We are diverse and eclectic, so feel free to do what thou wilt.

To date we have the very old Gnostic texts as recovered by historians and verified by scholars. We also have a small collection of fundamental writings on Masonry and Rosicrucianism. If we can find further texts this will be expanded to include The Illuminati Order of Minerva, which was eventually absorbed into the Masonic Temple and has not existed in any function since the end of the French Revolution, despite what Dan Brown may tell you.

A vast collection of the works of Aleister Crowley will be posted shortly, may he rot in piss.

A collection of medieval and renaissance era occultism is also in the works.

Once all libraries are complete, we will compile a complete library organized chronologically, possibly with small blurbs about the history of western esoteric thinking and how it compares to and interacts with eastern traditions. If we find enough good translations, a similar process will be used to examine the Eastern traditions in depth, as well as indigenous/pagan/shamanic traditions.

The final result will be a comprehensive, though not quite definitive, timeline of world occult studies.

Please understand this is an ambitious endeavor, so contributions are welcome and your patience is appreciated! Fnord.
