hey public spacehey forum board :3

my name is grey and this is my mega thread where i post my umineko playthrough

im gonna come back later and edit this main post to involve more about what umineko is about and stuff and a link to my other forum posts about visual novel and rpgmaker games :p

you know make it look pretty X3

umineko takes a long ass fucking time to play so im thinking i wont be finished with this game til the end of the year :3 so i'll probably be updating this thread through the end of 2025 and probably into 2026 lol

for now before i get into the "gameplay" i wanted to share the visual novel database for umineko <3, the internet archive link to the full free download, and the offical website!

umineko also has an anime series and manga series that retells the events of the story. and honestly i already saw the full anime and community theories... so im not going in blind at all

im a super big fan of 07th expansion!!

i started playing before i made this forum thread so let me recap everything so far.

after finishing the anime i was really curious to see the full visual novel since the anime skips over so much stuff lol it's still a really good adapation though, to be fair there is a LOT of stuff going on in this series its insane.

i found the download to the full game for free on the internet archive but it took up like... 11gbs?? so i decided i must finish this game right away if i want to make room on my computer for emulating other games lol

the story introduction has played out about the same as i remember in the anime. you follow battler and his family to their island rokenjima.

the introduction was really amazing, the opening scene where kenzo, the dying grandpa, starts screaming for beatrice is the best in the visual novel. if i could figure out a way to clip it on youtube just so anyone reading this can hear it i would (maybe when i come back later to make the thread look cuter lol)

besides that it's mostly just character intros, the family takes the boat ride, meets the servants, walk through the rose garden, and eat dinner >:3

now im at the really good part where they discuss the will and the epitath!!!

im honestly so excited i cant sit still!

so... 

to further the immersion i have half a beatbox of "dill pickle" dirty margarita
i'm seriously embodying my inner kenzo with this one (my claimed kinnie so far lmaoo)

i also got some peanuts con arbol chile, feeling really fancy. umineko was meant to be enjoyed with pub mix snacks just so you know.

i also played a bit of umineko in the discord server to introduce it to my friends.

the group actually sat pretty still for a bit i was surprised lol 

it was about a month or so ago (i downloaded this game ages ago but havent had the time to play until now??) either way i remember that JD was there, ethan, steph, i think solar kiss?? and i even played it screencasted on my big screen.

anyways, they told me to just get back to them when someone dies so... i guess im gonna play until someone dies?? :3

that wont be too long right...?
