Hi everyone,
I joined SpaceHey some time ago, but haven't had the time to create my profile until now. It's been a huge blast from the past, and one that I've been incredibly happy to participate in. It does make me a bit sad that this slower and personal form of social media isn't the thing amongst millennials anymore (Facebook and its algorithm don't even allow for the connectivity that was there when it first came out). I still think that there was something better to a separate IM client such as AIM or MSN Messenger instead of the constant connectivity of the present day smartphone.
I have noticed that this has a number of users that are younger and discovering 2000s culture for the first time. On one hand, the pop culture, music, and fashion of the 2000s were quite nice and I'm happy that others are enjoying them (I doubt this enable a reemerge of dumbphones like the Razr or Sidekick but with an additional Lyft and Maps app, but such is life). On the other hand, I think we have made progress as a society with awareness for more vulnerable groups and bringing light to issues, particularly compared to what it was during the 2000s.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my thoughts with millennials who are on this website.
Thanks!
