How would yall tackle this plot hole?

I don't want to get too deep into the canon lore, so i'll call important characters characters A,B,C,D etc..

I'm writing based on an AU where an EXTREMELY IMPORTANT lore event doesn't happen. Let's call one of the characters Person K.

Canon:

Person K is supposed to be the second coming of their ancestor, let's call the ancestor Person S. Person S, and in return Person K exist only because an alternate version of the Person S partook in the EXTREMELY IMPORTANT lore event. The fact that the alternate version of Person S had part in it, makes it so inevitable Person K had to also partake in the IMPORTANT LORE EVENT too, but in the version that exists in the product of the event - AKA, the world that Person K exists in.

What i'm trying to do:

Person K does NOT partake in their world's version of the EXTREMELY IMPORTANT lore event. Instead, they follow in their Person S' footprints and try to become the leader of the rebellion against their society's strict caste system.

Why would it be hard?:

In the fanfic it'll be mentioned a lot that Person S is the ancestor of Person K. BUT since they are the ancestor of Person K, P.K would be DESTINED/DOOMED to partake in the EXTREMELY IMPORTANT lore event. Their correlation makes it impossible for the story to progress past the canon.

Do I make the next participant of E.I.L.E someone other than Person K? Completely erasing the E.I.L.E would complicate even more things. Do i completely skip any mention of the existence of E.I.L.E?

I'll make something up anyway, but I'd be glad to read your suggestions!
