they're gaining some traction now but i absolutely love ugly (uk) - not sure what genre they are but they sound like black country new road's newer stuff. theyre sort of upbeat, semi-experimental folk i'd say? also june henry! i think she's classed as folk-punk and just released a lovely new album called infinite money glitch which i highly recommend ^-^

September Crows! I have downloads of their original music from a few years back before they rerecorded everything with a new lead vocalist. Both are great, but I'm fond of the older versions.

I have a spotify playlist of songs from artists with under 2000 monthly listeners. It's mostly metal since I listen to a lot of it but there's some non metal stuff in there too. Check it out!

CHEAP TIME!!!!! they were a Nashville based pop punk band and sadly broke up after the release of Sunset Overdrive :((( However their sound changed with each album and its what makes them so unique!! both Cheap Time and Meat Market are such good bands that sunk into obscurity :D

Relatively popular, the band Gride is arguably the best European grindcore act there was in my opinion.

Hey all :P I actually run an obscure music archive, so here's 2 of my favorite bands I've discovered through searching for albums on discogs!
Fashioncolt: Fashioncolt is an Indie Pop band from Jamaica Plain, massachusetts.
The band released 3 short EPs, which are all incredible! Here's their longest EP!

Mine is Blinker The Star. It's a solo project that never saw the daylight of succes, but that guy has been releasing since 1994 till now. I just can't seem to find a single album by Blinker The Star that ISNT genius lol. Just keep in mind that it's more experimental pop rock, but it's definitely not your average sunday pop band

I’d definitely recommend Career suicide they’re like 80s style hardcore from Toronto. My friend described them as a more frenetic sum41.

One of my favorite "underground" or just not well known bands is called Vision Video. They're a goth band from my state, and they're soooo cool. All of their songs have lots of deep, political meanings, and they overall spread a lot of support for Palestine, the lgbtq community, etc. I've been listening to them since I was in 7th grade, and it's been so awesome seeing them get more popular over the past couple of years. If you remember the "Goth Dad" on TikTok from like 2021-2022, that's the frontman! That's actually how I found the band, and to be honest, how I discovered post-punk music lol.

I've been into this band FXRLY for a couple years now (however I've only just now learnt while writing this that it's pronounced "Farley" after saying "fix-rily" in my head for so long). Very Green Day inspired and maybe with a hint of MCR.
A few good ones to mention that I've seen play: Seven Year Witch, Lovely World, and The Paranoyds.
