i have some great bands that no one talks about !!

i suggest louder than quiet, forever gray, skeletal family (the last two are goth) and Roy Ayers.

If you like groove you probably heard of Roy Ayers, he made the song everybody loves the sunshine. I honestly think hes one of the most influential artists for the old school rap scene back then. LOL as much as his stuff is used i barely hear anyone talk about him, hes got some great stuff on spotify !

Yo!Ā
I really don't know if these two bands would count as underground per se, but they're still not well known in my social circle, one is Rinse & Repeat, and idk their music is so cool and chaotic but not in the same web as Breakcore, it's quite unique. On the other side of the moon there's this silly band that's got me obsessed these last two years, they are Oingo Boingo and hell, aren't they cool! Some of their songs really go into a evil circus vibe, some just make no sense, some allude to death but in a funky way, and then there's That one...
Still, if you want to, go and give both a taste, you may thank (or blame) me later :]

Unamused Dave! They're a midwest emo/math rock band local to my town and in the year that I've known them they've quickly become one of my favorite bands of all time. They haven't been able to tour in a few years what with COVID and other life things happening, but they've generally been around.Ā Woodlawn is pretty universally recognized as their best song, but their new song Fmyabop!!! which released in June pretty much blows it out of the water in every way imaginable, it's insane. I hope they're able to play more shows and get back on the road soon, they were planning to this summer and fall but they've had some personal stuff go on that has prompted a bit of an indefinite hiatus. I love them to death and I want everyone else to too

I've really gotten into a couple of Japanese acts.

NJ is a Tokyo-based indie duo of Nori and Jun which you can read up on (with translation of course) and listen to their music here: https://nj-pop.jp/nj-pops.html

Buijyuni is a group I believe based in the Ichikawa Prefecture and has a soundcloud and YouTube with most of their music. Here: https://www.youtube.com/user/buijyuni and https://soundcloud.com/buijyuni.

I learned of these two groups via Sapporo City FM, an online radio station.

If you get me started on the bands/artists I like... I'll never shut up. Here is a short, non-annotated list of bands I enjoy that I wish I saw more buzz about. Not quite sure the definition of underground, most of these bands are more like... out of season. Something older people may recognize but younger folks will go "who?". It's subjective, I guess. But I truly love their music, and hope you will too.

  1. Forgive Durden
  2. Envy on the Coast
  3. Gatsby's American Dream
I'm adding songs from a ton of these bands listed under this to my music queue right now, so far I've especially enjoyed Coming Up For Air by Nominee, so kudos to whoever suggested that.

I would say mine are sort of underground, but at the same time they did have hits, but no one really talks about them.

Duffy: She has such a unique voice, and she just has these songs that hit you in your core. Warwick Avenue, and Delayed Devotion are a few of my favorites. The Warwick Avenue music video is very "haunting" I would say. The song is about a break up, and how when she gets to Warwick Avenue, that will be the last time they ever see each other. So it's her in a car just singing on her way to Warwick Avenue.

The Pretty Reckless: THE PRETTY RECKLESS AHHHHHHHH. The lead singer may not know who she is. Her name is Taylor Momsen. She was a childhood actress, and she played Cindy Lou Who in the Jim Carrey Grinch movie. Well, now she's a badass rockstar. My favorite song by this band would have to be Under The Water. It's such a good song like you can hear all the emotions all at once.Ā

Dehumanizing itatrain worship, they're a slam band from china and I think they're amazing. I'm pretty sure they're coming out with a new album this year and its cool because their albums covers are sick, its anime girls covered in blood. Extra points because their music is just sick, I don't know how much further I can elaborate
