I was usually browsing the internet as usual, when i decided to watch some youtube, and i saw that Charlie posted a video about how the us and now eu are cooking up a law in order to "protect childrens" online. In a nutshell,in order for a site to verify we are 18,we have to scan our fucking id's.
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK.Why should i leak my personal data on the fucking internet? This is the stupidest law i ever heard of.If this law is aproved,we can say adios to privacy online. That data is obviously stored somewhere, and there is no way its not going to be leaked.Nothing is 100% secured.
I estimate there is going to be a major leak less than 6 months after chat controll is introduced, and the governments are going to be like "oh, thats a problem",but they are not going to give two shits.
On the other hand, this might be a good thing, but it depends purely on us.We can switch to other platforms, develop our own etc.
