As much as I love this show, there are a lot of things that really annoy me or just don't make sense. I consider criticizing this show a form of love language, I suppose, so I have a long list. If I didn't love it as much, I wouldn't spend that much time thinking about it. Sooo, here are some points off the top of my head!
1) The ticket to the USA - Football Frontier
Starting easily, do you guys remember Shuuyou Meito Gakuen? The otaku school. At the end, when Megane asked them why they're participating, they replied that the winner will fly to the USA, and they want to go there to buy the limited-edition doll of Cosmic Pretty Reina. Megane said that he will buy it for them. Now... when are they going to America then? We know that immediately after Football Frontier, Aliea Gakuen attacked. Did they just cancel it? Is it just not planned? Do they just get 20 tickets and do whatever you want? I mean, they gotta expire, don't they? On the wiki, it says that they use the money won by their club to buy tickets, but... Megane still said he'll fly there. Did he lie? Is he stupid?/ref
Whatever, Shuuyou Meito Gakuen was a hard watch. The maid cafe and maid outfits, especially.
2) Zanark's ancestor
He just appeared in GO Galaxy, and we didn't pay any attention to him later. Why was he introduced? Just so Tenma can say that he looks familiar? This isn't that big of a deal, but it was so useless, it was just a tactic to make the viewer go: "LOOK, IS THAT ZANARK? NO, IT'S HIS ANCESTOR! NO WAY!" which is lazy.
3) Kageyama Reiji is back... and for some reason, he's allowed to be a coach for kids in space?
Uh, first. The "dangerous drug" that everyone was so hesitant to use... Why? It's perfect! It's a miracle maker! There are two outcomes for this: the patient dies and the drug doesn't work (which would happen whether the drug is applied or not), or the drug works and the patient is alive! It's literally the best thing. Why did he have to pretend to be a dead man? Would the doctors get in trouble? Are they paid so much that they are willing to use illegal drugs just to revive a criminal who uses children to kill other children?
Why did Gouenji agree to make Kageyama the coach? "He saw both the light and the dark..." yadda yadda yadda. This is stupid! He almost killed your sister 10 years ago. Why are you forgiving him!? Why is Fudou working for him?! I thought you hated him! I know you were like 14 when you said you hate him, and now you're 24, but I think your reasons were pretty reasonable! Why does Kidou trust him...? Is he stupid? ENDOU TRUSTS HIM? Did someone drug them with the same drug that the overpaid doctors used on Kageyama?
Do you not remember what happened last time this man had access to authority over 13-year-olds? Because I remember. And nothing nice happened, actually.
4) Mamoru's wives
Listen, this is not going to be me yapping about ship wars. He can get married to anyone, like I care. Even if I ship Mamoru with someone else (an unfortunate victim of engou brainrot here), that doesn't change the fact that Mamoru and Natsumi are married (or Fuyuka), and I don't really care. You know why? Because her screentime is so fucking minimal that I don't even remember that most of the time. She just shows up to make the ship canon and disappears. And she's a housewife, and her amazing gag is that she can't cook. Haha. Guys, laugh, it's funny! I am totally not ripping my hair out right now! At least Fuyuka kept her job as a nurse in the game. Inazuma Eleven writers just don't like or care (or both) about women. I'm more mad about how Natsumi was treated because of the marriage than the marriage itself.
Uh, that's all for now. My fingers are tired so~ I have more things to yap about but like... Not in the mood (Ichinose being... kinda a bad person and partner to Aki)(how fucked up Lalaya is with choosing the king)(how hurt Kinako was in Chronostone)(how irrelevant Mecha Endou was for some reason?)(SSC and all the bullshit around them)(prolly more)
