Do you count calories?

I freakin love and hate counting calories, I love the game-y feel of it all and havin that sense of control. Usually my problem with weight is that I don't eat that much, yet the food I do eat is high calorie, it's why I've always been a skinnyfat. Because of that, my problem with losing weight is that I'd lose so much weight rapidly just by changing what I eat from ultra processed nonsense to stuff like rice and meat, except when actually looking into the calories of it all- I be barely eating any calories, which would inevitably cause me to overeat on sweets.

Lately I gained 5 pounds of weight fast as hell just through milk consumption because again, wasn't counting calories, didn't realize how much I was consuming, just knew I would go through 2 gallons of milk in 3-4 days lol

So I lovee counting calories, makes me feel safe and secure, provides that reassurance that I'm neither undereating or overeating.

I've been tracking my meals on an app for the last three months, and it totally shifted my perspective. I used to do exactly what you described skip breakfast, grab a tiny but incredibly dense pastry at the cafe near my office, and wonder why I felt sluggish by 2 PM. The security of knowing exactly what fuel I'm giving my body is huge. While looking into cleaner ingredient sourcing online recently, I was reading through different reviews including health ranger store comparing options while meal prepping my Sunday chicken and rice. Once you find that balance where you're actually eating enough volume without the massive calorie spikes (like your milk situation!), it honestly feels like a superpower.
