This album was recommended to me by somebody I know and I listened to it as I was cleaning. I had no idea what to expect going into it and I'm honestly glad I didn't because it made me enjoy it a lot more I think. The album cover first of all is really strikingly simple to me I love the composition of it, to me it looks like somebody trying to make a fire. The album starts off so strong so I was hooked onto it immediately and then song to song the vibe changed a lot. The voice kind of reminded me of that awkwardness found in They Might be Giants, also another voice I can't remember right now. But it feels nerdy and awkward at times but ultimately very cool. It felt futuristic at times as well but rustic whenever there was some brass sections so it has this cool combination of old and new. Definitely want to relisten to this one again soon :) Favorite tracks: Black Horse, Mouth Canyon, Bauchredner
