youtube is currently getting this update where the ai determines you're age based on the things you watch and if it falsey does it you need to use your id credit card or face scan and i dont want to do that shit,so the day before it happens (which is on the 13th of august) i will either leave youtube or delete my channel and leave because there is so much stuff happening on the internet that we just need to make a 2nd internet

Best alternative would be downloading videos from the yt links. If your adblocker is good enough you don't need to see 600 ads before you can see the link.
You can also go to the thrift store and get cool DVDs

there really isnt any good youtube alternative but there are tons of frontends, check out invidious for browsers and newpipe if you have android

like someone else said there aren't rlly many good alternatives T^T HOWEVER I've been using freetube ! it's a youtube client that doesn't have any of the ads or privacy-violating stuff. even lets you easily download videos.
