My favorite one has to be the first one i played, which is TH8: Imperishable Night! I played them all but for some reason i always find myself replaying it after some time. Also my fav is Mukou hehehe.

Favourite Touhou Game?
Been playing the mainline games off and on for about 3 years now, and I've given about half of them a good shot, haha. To this day, I've only accomplished as much as a Normal 1cc on Imperishable Night. ZUN's Shmups are hard, yo.

This game is as tough as nails and absolutely unforgiving of errors. To this day, I've only ever made it as far as Shou's boss fight on Normal, but by god, the story, the characters, THE MUSIC?
This was my third game I ever attempted in the series (Touhou 7 being my introduction, followed by Touhou 8), but it instantly caught my full attention for a long period of time after my first few plays. Everything about it just seemed so cool and the story felt the most focused of the others I had played. Gonna be hard to unseat this one, ZUN. Maybe the upcoming th20 will be a challenger?
Favourite Touhou Character?
There are A LOT of cool characters, and I adore the vast majority of the cast ZUN has created across the whole franchise. Of course, following the trend of my praise towards UFO, my favourite character is none other than...
Nue Houjuu
Nue Houjuu
She's just perfect to me. Her appearance, her abilities, her playfulness, her mythological inspiration (the Nue is one of the most peculiar Japanese legends I've ever read), her theme song, and all the potential for creativity her character gives way for. I love and adore her. Heck, if I were to self-insert into Gensokyo, if I couldn't be her, I would happily settle for being a fellow Buddhist at Myouren Temple for the simple chance to witness and potentially interact with her. What a gal.

It is absolutely impossible to choose just one. Instead, I will share my most impactful memory related to one of the theme songs from Perfect Cherry Blossom, the first Touhou game I ever attempted...
"Doll Judgement ~ The Girl who Played with People's Shapes"
I will forever fondly remember my very first attempt at playing a Touhou game. I chose to try Perfect Cherry Blossom on Easy difficulty, and on my first credit, I succeeded in reaching Alice Margatroid's boss fight in Stage Three. I was ecstatic, because I was doing far better than I had ever hoped at making any progress in the game. I was also VERY scared of every new spell card, the thrill of reacting to all of them blind was amazing.
The music through every stage elevated this feeling three-fold. Having heard many Touhou melodies across my habit of playing rhythm games over the years, it was a special experience reaching each new stage or boss, and realizing I knew the tune, but also learning the original version and story context for each. It felt so awesome.
Alice's theme, though? The drumbeat? The rising piano arpeggio? Then the familiar, iconic chorus melody kicks in after a minute of buildup? I was star-struck and tears started welling up. The action, the music, the feeling of discovering the roots of something I had peripherally fallen in love with via all the fan arrangements in prior years - I didn't care that Alice proceeded to kick my ass, I was just so damn happy to be having this much fun with a game again. This song is forever special for immortalizing that feeling. I'll always shed a tear of joy and awe to this song.

fav character is a three way tie between marisa, koishi, and patchouli (only because anemic rep is so rare, she's important to me LMAO)
fav song, another three way tie. love-colored master spark, hartmann's youkai girl, and shanghai teahouse are all lovely to me :3
i'm not sure if i know what a shot type is??? if it means the ones the player uses in the bullet hells (like the homing bullets, the scatter bullets, etc.) then probably the homing ones. i've never played the bullet hells (i want to!!!) but knowing me i'd probably end up liking the homing bullets. if it means just the type of attack........ i'd have to go with sakuya's knives. she's awoken a love for fictional women with throwing knives in me lololz.
