so yeah i found out that kinning a character means that you identify AS (not WITH) and/or possibly believe that you LITERALLY ARE that character (cough mental illness cough)


kinning is NOT saying "lol im (name)" or "(name) is literally me" like for funsies or whatever.


and also, a term for people who identify WITH (not AS) a character is "synpath"


fuck i really am NOT calling myself something that sounds so stupid, are there any other labels/terms i can use?


like yes my handle on here is already named after one of my favorite characters, i don't want to BE him but i want to "be" him in the same way i'd wear a costume or roleplay.


yk like just superficially, not straight up BECOME. him. like as a person and try to replace myself with him. ykykyk.


the fuck labels or terms are for this. cuz synpath sounds fuckin stupid and silly (not in the good way).

i know exactly what u mean loll kinning as a term has been super watered down n like used incorrectly everyday. synpath also sounds stupid, but i can see it being shortened to syn and being like "i syn with (insert character!)" since i believe kin/kinning is a shortening of kinship. but its not widespread i just made it up rn so ppl wouldnt know what ur talking abt lmfao

i think you could call yourself a (insert character) kinnie, not (insert character) kin, as those are different things

Just say you identify with the character then, or find them relatable, or like them. Why label or find specific terminology for that if its not something that affects your character and or identity majorly? Relating to something is a very average experience/feeling unlike being kin and or alterhumanity. 

No need to overcomplicate relating to a character.

(coming from someone who identifies AS many characters and cannot handle how many terminology there is in the alterhuman community, many being completely redundant.)

see but kinnie and kin means the same thing.

its a shortening of the same term
