contact me box assistance

i wanna add my own emojis to this section. i saw a post w a code of how to do so where u jsut add the url in paste it in the about me blurb. when i try this, it doesnt actually do the thing and just shows all the script in my about me section. idk what im doing wrong? idk if its bc im using a pre made layout? mine currently has no icons, not even the og it came with. can anyone help pls
