Hey so I found this article where a millenial VICE reporter goes around asking teenagers from ages 15 to 18 what they think of various 2000's emo songs that she plays for them. The reporter concludes that 2000's emo is now the equivalent of "someone's dad putting pink floyd on".

i think it's kinda proof how there's always a "eww young people" in every generation, looking down at those younger than them yet forgetting they were the ones being looked down upon just a mere 10 years ago for liking emo

Don't pay any mind to those jerks. theyre putting out articles full of nothing just to get clicks from people. obvs theyre only going to interview kids they know will give them the answers they want.
