Do y'all have any tips on editing photographs?

Hi! I'm not a professional but I'm a media student. For "closer" editing I would highly recommend using Adobe Lightroom instead of Photoshop express, at least when editing light, shadows, colors etc. 

I do have two questions tho- what do you use to edit your photos? Phone? Computer/laptop? And do you take your photos with a phone or a camera?
