I think I should quit gaming altogether

Forum: Games

Man, waking up feeling apathy then seeing what games I own and its just like I've played literally anything I know too much, now I feel like I dont need games no more, its a waste of time, just because other self improvement youtubers told me, its just simply a waste of time, you can do so much more heck even if you dont and u do decide or dont decide, gaming is bad.

It makes me unmotivated lazy at times, it isnt a good significant boost for work/school

thinking about it it just ehh, all the games are a grind, is the grind worth it? No, simply put doing anything else focusing on good things instead of gaming, can make your life impact simply just better. I should probaly leave all the steam games and just dont play them, find stuff to do on the internet, heck its better to produce than to consume, become a rock star or a pop star heck anything else is fine. I just feel like at some certain point people achieve great success with education with money with anything else. Then they feel that apathy and they are like what is the meaning of life, if you know a lot or you know A lot then whats the point of trying?

Rather give your self a short 2 year break and continue doing what u want to do, there is literally no meaning to life apart biological reasoning then procreation and God. If you are religious God is numero uno if you dont believe in "it" then congratulations u should not be moral, because its stupid.

Rather live life to your edge as one person said, have fun while you at it, maximise hedonism, reduce work ethic and just live life to your liking, choose your own truth. Okay im going off topic, but in all seriousness gaming is a waste of time at least for me, producing games have no impact except something great universal but eh still its vain to produce games, producing music is where the real hype is.

Sooooooooo yeahhhhhh, in conclusion I should quit gaming like legit quit cold turkey unless friends ask me to play, and just like produce or find ways to motivate myself instead of "gaming"

not to mention my father was always a lazy bum, so theoretically im going to end up like him, but im going to do better (even if im 10 fold more dumb than him) im still going to live life.

Im going to post another post so I dont go off topic.

Thats for now, so is gaming worth it? For me, who seems to play almost any game to my liking, srsly?

dang man i understand, i also quit gaming ike 2 years ago all together, but imma be honest, nobody really 'leaves' gaming, you will feel bored someday and nostalgia will hit you like a rock and you will be like 'man i miss those days' and u weill start playing those games, so yeah, i dont think you should leave really, play sometimes, not occasionally, only when you feel it, i understand what you are trying to say. anyways, have a good day!

Yeah I guess you are right

Hard to have willpower like that

But im pretty confident I could handle it for months

But occasional gaming just like you described isnt bad, but it can transform to more frequent use and with gaming I see some people lose interest in their school grades or work ethic

And thats not good for a person nor society, maybe good for the devs to make money out of them, but not good for the brain.

But yeah im plannig to quit gaming pretty soon actually and when I get this job Ill have no time but only work and read Ig, I just dont have the mental energy to game especially after returning from outside activities.

But in essence gaming is a waste of time and people should quit.

Just imagine how much time u get and the motivation then u build ur work ethic + read books

which is way better time spent than gaming, or heck even going outside but that carries risks also, each to their own ig.

you're describing addiction, you can replace the word "gaming" with many things and it will all remain true, just do it in a healthy way and you'll be okay
