I think each religion was made for building fear and respect against something "unnatural" calling it god/Allah/ Bhagwat whatever yall call your god in your religions to maintain morality in society. All these rules written in the religions were to shape the society of that particular region which according to me don't apply much in today's view. I can be wrong too, what di you think?

even though i am an atheist, i believe religion is a positive thing.
in my opinion, they exist to make up for the lack of knowledge we have no big issues like: "where do we go when we die?", "why do we exist?", "is there life out there?" and so on.
i also like to think that it exists to enrich people's morality and make them strive to do good for others and be charitable, that's why many associate morality with religion.
even though some people may use religion as a weapon to preserve their horrible desires, i believe the true nature of religion is used for good. and i honestly want it in our society, because sometimes not knowing stuff is really scary.
religion is there to tell you what is there in their eyes, and that's ok!
