Have you ever been a high rank in any competitive game?

I'm curious at how common it is for people to be high ranks in games. No matter what competitive game i've played, mainly shooters like valorant, overwatch and csgo I was nowhere near good enough. It was only somewhat recently when marvel rivals released where I was able to be a kind of high rank player. I ended up hitting celestial in season 1. I felt super happy and cool, not only cause I hit a decent rank but because for the first time ever, I was actually good at a game I liked.
