other than reading stuff you have a genuine interest in (which I assume you've already tried to do, you could also read the text aloud if it helps. Reading to me is like information in its pure form, so sometimes saving a bunch of quotes from the book and rereading them helps me obtain a new perspective on things

i've been trying to get back into the habit after not being able to read because i was dealing with school and chronic fatigue at the same time and it's a struggle, for me the way to go seems like reading novellas or just shorter novels with simpler prose and most importantly stories that interest me and i've just been picking them up whenever i have the time and energy which is unfortunately a bit rare but i really enjoy those opportunities i do get and don't feel bad when i'm not able
the most important things are definitely finding what you enjoy and not forcing urself into it otherwise it just feels like a bit of a chore which is seriously demotivating

i know listening to an audiobook version whilst reading also helps some people, not something for me personally but it could be something to try out

I've been a bit slow and lazy this year too. Reading before bed is the habit I recommend most. If you can force yourself to read even 5 pages every night, you'll get through a few books in a year... and also sleep better because there's no screen :D it can be easier to make yourself do it if you have a small achievable goal like just a few pages

reading before bed or in the morning
on the commute if you can or when you would usually just scroll your phone

First, try to read some comics or other books with that format: Its much easier to get into it than heavy books with like 1000 pages. Since the comics, mangas, even manhwas (if you know about it) have images, it helps more to stay interested than a bunch of words with no visual to "help". After that, start reading light books and go further an further and further. The ultimate important thing is that you must be really interested in the resume, bc if not, u can lose all of your motivation.
Also, audiobooks really help for some people that get more immersed in the story bc you don't have the task to "actually read".
Hope this helps :DD

You know when u have a bit of time free and you're like I could read now but I kind of not want to/no thave the energy? I set up a timer for 10 minutes n I read (out loud, but that may be just me) at least until the timer is over. More often than not, I keep reading afterwards bc I want to. And if not, well at least I read for ten minutes.
