Nostalgic games

Forum: Games

Lately I've been really interested in remembering the games I used to play back in the 2010s and trying to get them again. I managed to find a few, like some from the Mystery Case Files series on the Internet Archive.

What about you? Do you remember any games you used to play that give you nostalgia? Would you play them again?

Oh man there's a ton of nostalgic games that I still remember

I played a lot of flash games or mobile games from the same time 2010's. I remember I enjoyed playing drop dead which was a flash game and I played it for hours. I also played the hell out of games on cartoonnetwork, disney channel/xd and nickelodeon and unfortunately I don't think theres any way to play most of the games now. I think my favorite one was a Young justice game based off the cartoon on cartoonnetwork called "Shadow mission" it's so eery and the ambiance is so unique, it really disturbed me as a kid but in a good way I guess?

For mobile games, there was wheres my water, angry birds, beat the boss and stupid zombies. I think you can still play these games but I haven't checked.

I don't know if I'd play them again to be honest. I've tried to get into other nostalgic games but it just doesn't hit the same anymore. I might replay ones that I never beat, that might be fun. Not sure what my problem is but I hope you had as much fun replaying your nostalgic games as when you first played them.

I'll just give a few examples:

- Banjo Kazooie (N64)
One of the all time great platformers, holds up really well, I replay it once every year since at this point it only takes me a day or two.

- Unreal Tournament 99 and 2004
While my reflexes are gone and I get absolutely stomped in those games, it's still fun to me, as I love arena shooters. If I'm in a place where my ego can't take a hit like that I'll just play against bots.

- Guild Wars 1
My first MMO. It's completely devoid of players now, but loading it up late at night every once in a while gives me a sense of serene loneliness. Like revisiting your hometown despite knowing that all your friends from back then have moved away. As the saying goes: "You can revisit the past, but noones there".

We recently bought an apartment, and I use our guestroom to keep a TV where I keep my old consoles (N64, PS2, Dreamcast and Gamecube) hooked up and it's been great replaying old favourites with pizza, beer and the best of friends.
