I personally like to decorate my uniform to the max!! and no.. it's not your ideal japanese uniform in any way, sure its v-neck sweaters with the logo but thats just about it.. before i started high school (i'm a tenth grader this year!! 2025) i searched up colors that would go great with white, navy blue and gray (the colors of my uniform)

I used japanese bow collars and those cute pleated skirts along with legwarmers and i even got brown loafers!!

imo just slap what you think looks good on there and don't worry about negative comments, your ideal fashion choice is way better then their ski masks or nike shoes/white shirt with leggings n big ass stanley/hot cheetos (very basic for them).

I've actually been trying to do this, I found a pin while I was scrolling Pinterest a couple weeks ago that said making playlists for everything really helps!!

I don't really have a set method but I like to imagine I'm living in a coming of age movie and I gotta pass school. to me, it helps not to take anything seriously at all. for example, in English class I write essays on the stupid-est of topics just because it's fun.

music and dressing nice also helps as you mentioned. if I look bad I feel bad :,3c. if anyone has trouble with fashion, I'd advise layering or customizing stuff. for example, you could sew patches on a pair of jeans. if you don't have thread, you could also just use floss. fashion can be anything you make of it and that's what makes it beautiful.

all in all, I feel like creativity helps me to survive the school year. imagining things inside my head and expressing myself through arts and fashion help.

sorry for rant o-o'
