New games feel weird

yo am fisherman, new to the forums, and wanted to share my view on video games  nowadays, since i still remeber how fun and decpite been graphically limited, games had a feeling that has been lost.

i get that graphics are getting better but without a good story or smth it feels void, plus i feel like liveservice games are more made due to the nature of them been Cash grabes and been able to pull the plug at any moment with somekind of bs justification.

and the monetization on some games that feel more like betas or alphas with the amount of unoptimization and terrible bugs.

idk how to feel.

I feel the same way but also I just want to indulge in it at the same time... like I've never had an next gen console, I've always been behind tech wise just due to lack of money and I think that's caused my to prioritize shit like graphics. I was going to buy a ps5 recently actually for this reason, but I realized that it was too much and settled for a ps4 because I've never had one. 

It's weird, maybe everyone should revert back a generation and play games from back then, maybe it'd be fun.
