okay guys honest review as a huge fan of SWS and a moderate fan on PTV, I can't call myself a true fan because when I was listening to them only collide with the sky and a flair for the dramatic were out, that being said misadventures is a new album to me. I'm not even that old but I grew up in the alternative scene and my older sister figure in my life was a scemo.
I only listened to the jaws of life days before the concert, PTV is a California band so I listened to them when they only had like 20k because I am so close to San Diego, and my family member had gone to back yard shows a lot, my dad also owned a venue so some bands like AFI started there.
I explain all this because I know at least one of you will call me a poser, so with my background, The tour really was only for new fans w the line up, SWS played "Roger Rabbit" for their OG fans.
They played SO much misadventures and so little collide with the sky, I only saw a handful of emo people per every crowd I walked past. I am counting ALL alternative people including people just in themed music video outfits, I saw 10 Kellin and Vic outfits, 4 brides, and only 3 old shirts everything else was jaws of life and misadventures. Looking at the pit from the balcony I counted TWENTY TWO people with colored hair, I couldn't see their faces to judge if they were or were not emo.
people can be ex- emo so I'm just guessing they weren't emo based on the merch they were wearing, and they were in groups with people, side eyeing people with big septums etc.
For all of you that haven't heard someone squatted and went to the bathroom in the pit
They both sounded great but sws setlist was so short, and ptv was really only a few old songs, I primarily got tickets for she makes dirty words sound pretty. If this isn't worth it to you I wouldn't buy tickets, and for the example I am in LA so if anything my show should've had more emos, so proceed with caution if you're going with high hopes to making friends, I was able to make one friend!!!
If you do decide to go, make sure to show lots of support to Vic as he is REALLY going through it and make sure to make everyone's day you pass, as you never know of their seating will ruin the night, atleast for us it almost did! everyone stood up and was jumping on the balcony and nobody could see
