im trying to get more into metal & emo music but uhhh i don't know that many bands. i think im into sludge, nu, and maybe doom??
i like the ones where they occasionally go uugrrrahhhh and ooouugghh or something. that really guttural scream but like not too much of it? and a mix of like emo idk

if you like doom metal i would reccomend sleep and electric wizard. system of a down is probably the best you can get with nu metal but korn and slipknot are worth checking out as well. if you ever feel like going further though i reccomend the album none so vile by cryptopsy, its really heavy fast paced death metal but theres something special ab it that seperates it from the rest of the death metal slop out there. One of my fav bands is Sleepytime Gorilla Museum which i highly reccomend you listen to. Theyre not really a metal beginners band but you might get something out of it if you check them out.
