healing rituals for someone far away?

I have an online friend who's recently become sick, and I've offered him my help magick-wise to get him back to normal again. I have a few ideas so far, but its never too bad to ask for a bit of help from other witches! I dont have many materials, as I'm still about halfway in the broom closet (although my mother is also a pagan), but I do have access to lots of crystals, candles, and a few herbs. its also important to note that I currently worship aphrodite, in case that adds anything. he cant be with me while I do any of this because he lives on an entirely different continent, but any help would be appreciated, thank you! :)
