idk if anyone will even see this but... i’ve been thinking about old gen kpop lately and how fandoms used to wave around balloons instead of lightsticks at concerts and music shows. like legit… balloons. idk why but i find it so wild and endearing at the same time.

anyway-- i was surprised to learn big bang actually used handkerchiefs at one point?? honestly kinda iconic of them to experiment. if i’m not wrong, gd was actually the one who made lightsticks a trend in kpop with the bang bong... so thanks gd i guess LOL.
the balloon colors themselves are so interesting too-- like some groups had black balloons, which surprised me?? cuz i always assumed that shade would be avoided to prevent looking like a black ocean. but i guess back then the meaning was all that mattered, not the aesthetics or optics. lowkey wish i could see how it really looked irl but i’m too lazy to dig through old vids rn ㅠㅠ
also side note: it would’ve been cool if 2am had black and 2pm had white to match their names LOL. but i think they both just ended up w black.
the one that got me the most tho was NRG having pink balloons… knowing their concept, i totally didn’t expect that, but honestly? cute.
anyway, if you could pick any color for a fandom balloon/lightstick… which would you choose and why? :]
