job application advice... in the age of AI... just directly show up in person

Did alot of job interviews (programming sector but likely applies to other sectors too)
and i am still in contant with people handling job applications...

Because of AI they get flooded with emails and the have a hard time find the needle in a haystack.

They are just happy if they dont have to figure out if a person is real or not and it commited to show up in person even if they will have to come back another day when the interviewer have time for the interview.

I myself always showed up in person before sending a application... sounds like a timewaster but often you can "read the room" better and present why you are a good fit.

And if they dont have a open job for what you can do then ask them about wich companies they think would be a possible next target to go.

If that works or not depends on the sector you are seeking a job and if the companies are easy reachable for you...

But in general...

If you want to work somewhere... go there... ask politely about the company and that you are interested about knowing more... general interest gets you a foot in the door very often.

And at worst case you have a interesting 10 minute talk with someone working there.
