What is Drăgaica or Sânzienele?
"Sânzienele, also known as Drăgaica, is a Romanian pagan festival
celebrated on June 24th, the same day as the Orthodox Christian
celebration of Saint John the Baptist's Nativity."

"The celebration, full of symbols and rituals, keeps alive the ancient traditions that connect us with the energy of life, hope and love. Gathering the sânziana flowers, dancing around the fire and putting basil under the pillow are just some of the meaningful rituals that make Midsummer a very special time of the year."

For the Drăgaica, or better known as Sânzienele, I have made a crown for myself and threw it on the roof of my home. The legend says that if the crown falls off the roof, somebody living in the house might die soon. And if it stays put, you'll get luck and wealth. Yet instead, I made a wish.
