just ranting about how the internet has literally degraded my ability to make friends in real life. like it feels so awkward starting conversations, when online u can just send a message and delete the app if it turns out bad. the convenience of that detachment makes connecting shallowly or deeply, whatever you like, on the internet easier. connecting in real life just seems difficult now, and I'm by no means an introvert either.

yeah i feel this alott, especially after the pandemic. the lack of urgency of replying to a message and the lack of face to face conversation make it easier too.
