r u new and having issues with images not working? here's why!

i've noticed a lot of forum posts confused as to why nothings working like it shoudl recently, so hopefully this will shed some light on the situation.

basically, spacehey's mediaproxy server has been down for the last 5 days (as of posting). this means that any images or gifs anyone currently tries to link or embed will NOT load properly, because the server is unable to fetch that information. (i believe external CSS stylesheets are also broken rn.)

there's been no official updates as to what is causing the outage or how long it will last unfortunately, but rest assured that the issue is not being caused by user error.
