DIY Venture

Let's hit it with an eccentric DIY focused questionnaire:
What are you currently working on?
Are you focusing on deepening a particular craft or do you want to broaden your skills?
What are the crafts that you are experienced with?
Do you have any dream projects or skills you'd like to achieve?

Thank you for filling this in, good luck with your crafts!

I’ve been doing some jewellery making and am also working on a cosplay for a convention next week - I have a pre-made shirt that I’m adding binding to the hems of and am going to crop as it’s a bit long and I don’t want to have to tuck it in.

For future projects - I’m currently planning on making a poet shirt and a fur jacket when I can get the materials and the time!

Ronan please do share when it's done!

First Q, I'm technically currently working on a spiked cuff, with the spikes made from cans and the cuff from an old sock (yes it was a bad idea) and as far as I know, it's collecting dust. it looks a bit goofy, i don't think I'll be wearing it unfortunately, it was supposed to be a prototype anyway.

Second, both in a way. I feel my DIY skills needs to be deepened and broadened. For skills in general I wanna say I'd like to broaden my options but I know my methodological nature is to try deepen things first.

Third, perhaps drawing and makeup, if they even count as crafts. I know I've worked on some crafts but nothing comes to mind at all

Fourth, I wanna make handmade jewellery, design clothes, paint, write, sing, dance, play the piano, cook, and so much more. I'm someone who wants to dabble in everything at least once.

Ah! Sorry I forgot to reply to this before, I apologise!

To Ronan,
Another reminder to show us your jewellery when you have the time! Hopefully with the school holidays you can craft away. Both of those garments are my dream! Though, a poet shirt especially with a jabot- which that sewing site actually has.

To Kadavera,
It's always good to test things out, otherwise how would you know what doesn't work and what does? I remember those spikes, that's such a genius idea! Though, did you get cut?
Wish you luck with your future projects. I have to say, you do seem like a keyboardist.

I'm not sure if I actually did, but I definitely came close few times. its not soooo sharp to be honest, especially if you go for cheaper softer cans. I've noticed that beer cans do cut you even if you're just taking the tab out so it's probably sharper.

and keyboardist, wow... do I? I think I've thought about doing everything there is to do in this world at least once, but i don't think I've ever thought about being on the keys. and I certainly don't hate the idea! :p

Yeah! You got that attitude of those keyboardists, I’d say.
