Around 2 days ago it was reported that Israel had targeted Gaza's last functional fibre optic cable, cutting off all internet access within Gaza. This will not only stop people within the Gaza strip from communicating with one another and with those outside of Gaza via the internet, but also prevent journalists there from reporting on the situation on the ground.
