Chapter 3+4 Theory: Kris and the Knight

SPOILER WARNING FOR CHAPTERS 3+4!

It's not that surprising that my first post is a Deltarune post considering how insane I am about it right now.

With all of the parallels and callbacks to Undertale in these newer chapters, it's gotten me thinking about what plot points may be brought back with new twists, and I think I'm starting to piece something together??

So this theory is technically paired with another popular one as I am making this with the thought that Dess is the Knight, so keep that in mind. (But I think it still works even if it isn't her)

Kris will fuse with the Knight.

But what do I mean by that?

To put it simply, in Undertale, with the story of Asriel and Chara a major part of it is how Asriel took Chara's soul, essentially fusing them together, to cross the barrier. I'm saying that the same (or a similar) thing will happen with Kris and the Knight.

Now, in Deltarune, Kris has plenty of similarities to Chara (being Asriel's sibling, knife usage, player influence, colour palette), while Dess/the Knight has connections and similarities to Asriel (Asriel's shirt in Dess' closet, one of the Knight's theme sounding an awful lot like 2nd phase Asriel's, the Knight's final attack literally just being the Hyper Goner attack, the Knight's similarities with 2nd phase Asriel's design), so it's not a stretch to say that they parallel them. Learning that Kris is working with the Knight in some way adds to the chance of this happening. Maybe it has something to do with making dark fountains, or even becoming a titan? I'm not directly sure of the reasoning, most of my "proof" is just parallels and what-ifs so it's not the most complete of theories (my source is "dude, trust me"). But maybe alongside the theory that Gaster is trying to recreate Undertale it makes more sense? I mean, it would give more of a reason for the fusion stuff, but I don't know.

It's probably obvious that I'm not not used to theorizing like this but I just wanted to get my thoughts out there. I might turn this into one of those typical UT/DR theory images that people make in MS Paint, so if I do, I'll post it as well, might have my thoughts a bit more organized there than they are here.
