First comics that got you into reading?

What are the comics that first got you into actually reading? I'll go first...


It was definitley Gwenpool (2016) for me. I remember coming home from school and sneaking onto pirating websites on the family computer so I could read the issues. Deadpool was a cool character and was introduced to me by my marvel-obsessed middle school teacher! Obviously being a teen/(tween?) girl I wanted to find more relatable characters like me. 

So I went around digging and actually stumbled upon something! A cute character similair to Deadpool??? Who is just as feral as him and got sucked into the comicverse but was from the real world originally??? And was PINK?! I was sold.


Obviously from then I branched off into other characters. I'm more into DC nowadays but Gwenpool along with other marvel characters still have a special place in my heart =)

omg that gwenpool comic is the cutest thing I've ever seen

personally? Absolute Batman. I'd considered reading comics, before that, but I couldn't find any one of the ones I'd really wanted, and I needed a jumping off point, so I picked up whatever was latest at the time. It ended up being really damn good. Sometimes I re-read the first arc when I'm sleep deprived and in need of inspiration lmao

 The Adventures of Tintin series!! The first one's I read were the two translated in Latvian - Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham's Treasure. That was about 1st or 2nd grade. Now I've collected a fair amount though nowhere near all of them lmao, working on that still but I've read a couple off some piracy website as well ( though they can all be accessed through the internet archive)
