file sharing to windows xp

a little while ago i bought a 2007 thinkpad t61 off ebay and it runs windows xp. xp is p much the most customizable version of windows and ive seen a bunch of awesome themes on deviantart that i really want to experiment with, but ik its not safe to connect to the internet on an outdated os

i was originally just going to put the files i want on a usb to transfer them from my main laptop to the thinkpad, but i was wondering if theres a more convenient way or something?

any other tips from ppl who are familiar w windows xp would also b great (^.^)

Hi, you can safely connect to the internet on Windows XP, I'm posting from it right now! Check out Legacy Update for security patches and updates, with that and compatible security software like Spybot S&D and Malwarebytes you can connect to the internet without worries as long as you don't do anything shady. Your ISP's router should filter out any other potential threats. I still wouldn't store sensitive info or use it for online banking/shopping, as long as you don't actively make yourself a target you'll be fine.

But to answer your main question, just transferring by USB is going to be your easiest option
