Hi, I'm Starry (o´ω`o)ノ
I've been learning ASL for about a month now, still really early in my learning journey and sometimes have trouble staying consistent with practicing.
But! I wanted to know what resources you all are using. I've been learning from Bill Vicars on his website, Life Print. He's a deaf teacher who posts lessons on youtube and his website. A lot of good info here for free too. I'm currently on lesson one but I am slowly working toward the second lesson.
Second question, why did you start learning ASL? Do you have a loved one who is deaf, hard-of-hearing, or mute? That's pretty much the case for me. I met someone who's mute on discord and became good friends. I want to meet up one day so I'm trying to learn ASL so she won't have to type everything to communicate.
I may post lesson updates here to hold myself accountable (even though there's like one other person here lol)
I will have the group saved in my RSS feeds so I can get notifications. Don't know why it's not built into the site itself tho
Nice to meet you and happy to be here :D
