workout/fitness advice for inconsistency

Forum: Helping each other

haii i used to be pretty good and consistent with my workout routine, but i’ve found that lately i’ve had a hard time staying as consistent as i want to be. after i get off work and get time to relax, all i want to do is my hobbies, hang w friends, and SLEEP! i do miss feeling strong and energetic so it def is something i want to get back into.. if you have any recommendations for consistency and motivation, i’m all ears :3 thx!

Probably having a gym buddy. If I didn't have a gym buddy, I probably would never ever go to the gym lol. We dont even talk really while working out, we just drive there together and talk about it on our way back. It probably will help with consistency because what are you gonna do??? disappoint your gym buddy?!?!?!?!

so true!! my friend and i went recently actually and it did help a lot. they live much closer now and right next to a big ass gym so we might start going more consistently. we both struggle w consistency so i think that'd help a lot <3 ty for the recommendation

It’s totally normal to fall out of a routine - especially when work drains you and relaxing finally feels like the only thing you have energy for. What helped me wasn’t forcing myself back into long workouts but making the whole thing feel lighter and easier to start. I remember googling is madmuscles legit at one point because I needed something super simple to set tiny daily goals actually got me moving again without burning out. From my experience, once your workouts fit naturally into your day, consistency comes back on its own.
