Diane is a very controversial character in my opinion. everyone likes her because she's seen as a "cool" character but honestly she's very problematic, what she did on philbert with the submarine scene was not justifiable, bojack was not in a good sate of mind at the time and that sent him spiraling, now what he did in new mexico wasn't necessarily okay either but diane should've approached it differently. thats only one point i have on her i also think that sleeping with mr.peanutbutter when he was in a relationship after she left him was an interesting thing to do she's constantly talking like she's a very emotionally intelligent person but her actions prove otherwise.

Diane was genuinely one of my favorite characters in season one, I also liked her character during the feature in Boston+ when she was living with Bojack (not the fact that they brought out the worst in each other, but there’s almost a beauty to that part of the story). However, I think it’s unfair how much hate Bojack gets when Diane doesn’t get nearly as much. The flibert episode like u brought up is a very good example. As someone who’s had experiences where I’ve been forced to relive my trauma, it’s not going to help anyone in the situation and it was selfish of Diane. Not to justify the things Bojack has done, but none of the character are much better or worse. But I honestly felt that way with a lot of the characters. I always went back and forth on liking Diane.
