tips for an easier time dyeing hair?

Hi, I've got an ombre pink hair style that fades into my natural hair color, plus two strands up front that have a pink-blue-light blue gradient to make them look like Sylveon's ribbons.
Those two strands just,,, always get on my nerves while dyeing.
I have pretty long hair, the bleached part doesn't go past my shoulders and my natural hair color is too dark for the pink to show so dyeing that just feels like putting on some highly contagious conditioner tbh. But the blue strands always get in the way it feels like, no matter if I pin them up with every pin and clip I own and I need to be careful to not get pink dye on them, even if I haven't dyed them yet since I always do them last.

Now I really like my hair and even tho it's a little annoying to redye I don't really mind, but does anyone know of an easier way to do this? I only really have to redye every threeish weeks so it's not the biggest deal ever, but hey why not ask around a little. I'm planning to get dyes that holds up a little longer but I wanna use up the ones I have now before I do.

Thanks in advance!!

oh yeah and if you know how to accomplish this without making your bathroom look like Sayaka Danganronpa's death scene please share your wisdom k thx bye

I don't know how to keep the hair out the way but you can put vaseline on your forhead/neck so you gon't dye your skin too

Hair dying is very difficult >_< What brand are you using? Brands like Splat dye are known for staining like, everything except for your hair. If it makes it easier, maybe you can dye your hair in two sessions? Like dye the blue/bleach parts on one day and the pink on another day. That'd also be good if you're using direct dye (Arctic Fox, Manic Panic, Iroiro, ect.) It'd be a little rougher with box dye but it's worth a try! :>
