Pope Leo XIV

Robert Francis Prevost from my home city of Chicago Illinois has just been elected Pope and has taken the name Pope Leo the 14th.

Pope Leo is the First Pope that was born from the USA.
The new Pope is an Augustinian, which is a different Holy Order than the last Pope, who was a Jesuit.
It is exciting to see what the future brings with this new Pope, he is relatively younger being only 69, so there is a good chance that we may have him for multiple decades. 

One exciting fact is that Pope Leo brought back the Papal vestments, contrary to Pope Francis' simple vestments.

Overall, very exciting, I look forward to seeing how Pope Leo XIV leads the Church these next few years, especially with the fact he speaks English.
