I'm noticing a pattern here. People with overwhelming profile pages easily have a ton of friends who'd happily respond to them. Is that the case here? I definitely do not want my own profile to burn my eyes every time I open spaceyhey haha, but that makes me unpopular

People wanna engage with things that please their eye. A good way to get people to interact with you is to show interest in them first. Add people you think may have common interest by reading their profile, then respond to their bulletins and blog posts and see if they return the favor.
