I need a better video editor

What are my options besides CapCut and Splice? CapCut is owned by Bytedance so who knows what the future holds? Splice only lets me save two projects unless I want to pay like, $5. I have enough subscriptions already, I don't need another one!

OpenShot isn't too bad. It's free and open source. It runs pretty well and does everything you would need it to do. Just make sure you limit its CPU usage. I didn't do that and ended up getting a blue screen while exporting.

On Linux and Windows, there's Shotcut which is free and has a ton of useful stuff. It's also open-source, so one could actually just compile the program straight from the source if wanted.

I totally get you! I was in the same spot, worried about CapCut’s future since it’s owned by Bytedance, and Splice’s project limits were annoying. That’s when I discovered using Capcut Pro APK through capcutssapk.com it

gave me all the premium features without another subscription. It’s amazing because it offers free filters and professional designs, turning raw footage into something magical. Honestly, it solved my editing headaches without adding another monthly fee, and now I can create content freely without worrying about limits or app ownership changes.
