Games you tried getting into but couldn't

I'm sure we can all relate to this situation, where even if the game was considered good, we simply couldn't get into it.

This has happened to me many times but I think the most notable is Assassin's Creed. I've many people I knew praise it and I've always loved action adventure games so I figured I would try getting into the first game... Holy hell, what a boring game that was. Later on, I bought a Wii U and since there weren't many games for it, I picked Assassin's Creed 3 and again, much of the same issues remained, although at least the multiplayer was fun.

Most Ubisoft games tend to be like that, vast open worlds that can only be navigated slowly and lots of collectibles sprinkled everywhere. The only exception to me is Watch Dogs, I enjoyed it.

Both my siblings kept trying to force me to play Elden Ring. It's INSANELY HARD, OBVIOUSLY and I guess I need my hand held because there's no mission icon which made me get lost so easily. I tried playing it 4 separate times and failed miserable XD

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. I've never played a Castlevania game but I love its music and I love its artwork. Because of that I tried that game since a friend talked about it like it was the best one in the series. It just didn't click for me, I didn't dislike it, I just felt no enjoyment playing it for the next hour. So I just assume maybe the genre isn't for me.

Mass Effect

It should be right up my alley, and while I love the general writing, themes and characters, the gameplay irks me. Combat especially is not deep enough for an RPG, but too janky for a 3rd person shooter. It stands somewhere in the middle to where it does nothing right for me.

eeey I loove Watch Dogs too! For me I guess it's most of the Zelda games, I did really get into Breath of The Wild, but most others I play for awhile, then I take a break and when I come back I have no clue what to do or where im at in the story.

Deltarune.
I've wanted to (and tried twice) but it just fails to keep my interest.
I couldn't explain why, though. It is something that I'd enjoy on paper.

Stardew Valley.

Sooo many people love it and I guess it's just an acquired taste.
